Barcelona

We have been fortunate to visit Barcelona several times, as we had family working there off and on over the years. For such a huge city, it feels completely safe as you walk the streets and explore the unique architecture, the beach, or other neighborhoods that you visit.

Explore the unique creations of Gaudí.

  • La Padrera (Casa Milà)

La Padrera was the first of Gaudí’s architectural feats that we saw on our very first trip to Barcelona. Construction of the building was completed in 1912.

  • Casa Batlló

Casa Batlló is an amazing building with surprises around every turn from the blue-tiled elevator shaft to the mosaic chimneys on the roof and the mushroom-shaped fireplace and hearth.

  • Sagrada Familia

The church has been built over a span of 144 years. We were fortunate to be able to see it in multiple stages over our various trips to Barcelona.

  • Park Guell

I really wish I had more photos from this amazing place. Every turn is a unique architectural design and it offers great views of the city.

The La Boqueria Market in the Las Ramblas

The most famous market in Barcelona. It offers something for everyone from the people who live in the neighborhood to the tourists seeking to soak up all of the delicious offerings the city has to offer.

The Beach

One of the most unique ways of experiencing the beach in Barcelona was by electric bikes. We actually fell in love with e-bikes on this trip and ended up buying some once we got back home.
