While exploring Triana, we stopped at Lagunetas for lunch. The menu of the day was 9 euros. I had the Potaje de Vendrua and Muscos de Pollo en Adobo. The potato soup was excellent with big chunks of potato. The chicken was roasted in a reddish sauce and had an excellent flavor.

The server was great and very patient considering the size of our group and the many orders that had to be taken and considering half of us didn’t speak Spanish. I always enjoy the service in Spain because they take their jobs very seriously and always provide excellent service all around.

This restaurant had a very unique style to it. We were sat upstairs and the room was painted to look rustic with a big fresco on one wall. There were lots of windows and it was bright and airy feeling. The downstairs was bustling and busy, but upstairs it was nice and quite. Downstairs they had several tables as well as a bar area.

I would recommend this restaurant if you are shopping in the Triana area. It was recommended to us by the lady who manned the visitor’s booth.

I had the Sopa de Pollo and the Arroz Cubana. The soup was very good and you could tell it was homemade. The Arroz Cubana is a Cuban dish of steam rice covered in tomato sauce with a side of French fries and a fried egg. It also had a fried plantain, which was interesting. Overall, I found the entire meal good and satisfying. It was definitely a good deal for the price.

The service was excellent. The server was very attentive to our needs and very professional.

The restaurant was very nice and good retreat from the busy street. The upstairs area was very nice and well-decorated. Everyone was very friendly.

I would recommend this restaurant if you're walking around and shopping in the Triana area. It was just off the main pedestrian walkway and I felt it offered good value for your money.
