If you’re looking for a nice romantic evening in Asheville, then this is the place to go. Vincenzo’s Ristorante & Bistro was recommended to us by the concierge at the Four Points hotel. He said when you get there, be sure to go downstairs where they have live music – and I would recommend you do the same.

Vincenzo’s is located near the college campus and the parking situation appears to be a bit confusing, but at night you can park anywhere. It looks like you need to be cautious about where you park during the day though.

Vincenzo’s is a two level restaurant in an old building. For the best experience, we recommend you follow the piano music and head downstairs. There you’ll find live music by their pianist, who is happy to play any requests you may have for a tip. He’s quite good as well, and also very friendly. He got a real kick out of our son.

We started off with the bruschetta bread. The mix had a bit of a kick to it, but the diced mozzarella was a nice touch. I had never had it with mozzarella in it this way before.

For our meals, I went with the Gnocchi al Emelia-Romagna. The menu describes it as “classic potato dumplings tossed with prosciutto ham and scallions in a Gorgonzola cream sauce.” It was absolutely delicious. I loved every bite.

My husband had the pot roast special. It was also very delicious and had a unique side of fried mashed potatoes. They were so good! The pot roast seasoning had a bit of kick to it as well.

For dessert, we went with tiramisu and a chocolate cake.

The food and the atmosphere at Vincenzo’s will not disappoint. The service was excellent, the music was great and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back here when we get back to Asheville.

The prices were on the higher end, but they are obviously going for a high-class ambiance and I wouldn’t expect anything less. If you’re looking for a special night out, then this is definitely the place to go.
