We had to make a quick stop in London, Kentucky for gas and we were hungry. We found ourselves in the situation again where we didn’t want to eat fast food, but also not having very many other options in the area without going on a tour of the town. In an effort to get back on the road as fast as possible we went to Frisch’s Big Boy.
We were initially going to go inside and eat, but there were literally people standing outside and waiting to get in. It looked as if this was the most popular after church lunch spot in all of London. In an effort to save time, we decided to hit the drive-thru and eat in the car. We’re not big fans of eating in the car, but our options were limited.
We both had Big Boy Burger combos with cheese and fries. Our son had the chicken tenders. As far as the burgers, the really reminded my husband of a Big Mac. They were definitely good, although I thought they could have used more cheese, but that’s just me. I really liked how your fries came in a cup – perfect for our son in the car. The chicken tenders meal only had two chicken tenders, and although my son wouldn’t eat more than that, I thought the price was a little on the high side for that small of a portion.
Overall, we were happy with our quick stop at Frisch’s Big Boy. They even had the statues of the Big Boy out front.
